The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) continues to strengthen its comprehensive inspection tasks in the territory, this time carrying out operations together with the Argentine National Gendarmerie (GNA), at strategic circulation points located on different national and provincial routes in central and northern Buenos Aires.

As a result of these actions, 63 adult olive tree specimens being transported from Mendoza to the city of Campana, in Buenos Aires, were detected and subsequently interdicted for lacking the electronic Plant Transit Document (DTV-e).
Once the truck and its trailer were inspected, a record was drawn up, as it was confirmed that none of the transported plants had the DTV-e, a mandatory phytosanitary accreditation element that guarantees the traceability and safe origin of plant material to prevent the risk of pest dispersion in different regions of the country.
