The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) presented at an information session for nurseries in the municipalities of the Province of Buenos Aires, to publicize the scope of the National Phytosanitary Registry of Operators of Propagation, Micropropagation and/or Vegetal Multiplication Material (Renfo) and the documentary support through the Vegetal Transit Document (DTV-e) for plant movement.
Through a virtual modality, more than 50 attendees participated, linked to municipal nurseries, who were able to learn about the importance of phytosanitary regulations related to the sector and channel specific queries according to their activity.

The organization of the activity was carried out by the Directorate of Forests, of the Provincial Ministry of Agrarian Development and the Plant Protection Coordination of SENASA's Metropolitan Regional Center.
It also included the participation of personnel from the Plant Protection coordinations of the Buenos Aires North and Buenos Aires South regional centers, and the National Nursery Program, who answered questions about the specific requirements for the management of citrus propagation material and other species of interest for urban trees.
Furthermore, with the aim of deepening the dissemination of prevention strategies for the red palm weevil, a digital tool was presented for surveying palm trees, which allows not only the georeferencing of specimens but also assessing their sanitary status through images.
