The activity took place in the waters of the Río de la Plata and comprised two days of sailing. The vessel remained moored at the Yacht Club Argentino (YCA), where the various practical training sessions were carried out.
During the day, students received knowledge related to the use of rigging and winches and performed exercises in hoisting sails, both mainsail and genoa. In addition, basic notions of navigation were addressed, and practical exercises in steering the vessel were carried out, with special attention to handling the rudder, maintaining the ordered course, and interpreting wind direction.
The initiative allowed students to incorporate and strengthen theoretical knowledge through its application on a vessel, within the framework of a nautical training experience.
The navigation concluded and satisfactorily met the planned instructional objectives.
