Argentina adjusts agro-industrial export quotas to Ecuador, Mexico, and other markets

The Government of Argentina updated the rules for exporting various agro-industrial products to the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, and Colombia. The measure establishes new procedures to distribute and manage the export quotas that already exist between these markets.

The included products are peanuts, peanut paste, and tobacco to the United States; peaches in syrup to Mexico; dairy products to Ecuador; and dairy products, beef, sweets, and chocolates to Colombia. The regulation does not create new markets but modifies how these quotas are utilized.

Among the changes is the "First Come, First Served" system, which will allow available volumes to be allocated to exporters as they submit their applications. Most of the new rules will begin to apply in 2027, while the regime for tobacco to the United States is already in effect.
