The Argentine Naval Prefecture carried out a fluvial patrol and an assistance operation for 15 families affected by the rising waters of the Paraná River, in the Punta Santa Ana neighborhood of Paso de la Patria, Corrientes.

The procedure was developed within the framework of the Paraná Plan and the guidelines established in the Plata Basin Coordination Plan 2026/2027, in articulation with the Federal Emergency Agency (AFE).

During the operation, Force personnel, aboard a boat, patrolled the riverside area and provided support to the teams working on site, where more than 50 people were assisted.

The task was carried out in coordination with personnel from the Ministry of Public Health of the city of Corrientes, the General Secretariat of the Province, the Ministry of Social Development, the Municipal Directorate of Human Development, the local hospital “Dr. Eduardo Cicconetti” and Volunteer Firefighters.

As part of the assistance, water dispensers, powdered milk packages, and insect repellents were delivered. Likewise, health teams carried out health checks, blood pressure checks, and delivered medicines, while surveys and patrols were carried out to ascertain the needs of the residents.

The intervention was carried out due to the situation generated by the rising Paraná River, which affects the locality and maintains the evacuation stage in force.
