The Posorja Deepwater Port, operated by DP World, celebrates seven years of operations with over 4 million TEUs mobilized and nearly 2,000 vessels served. The terminal features eight services that connect Ecuador with important markets in Asia, America, Europe, and the Mediterranean, strengthening the country's maritime connectivity.
During this period, Posorja has incorporated new services, such as the AX4, jointly operated by ONE and HMM, with a direct connection to Asia. Furthermore, it has received large-capacity vessels and expanded its operations, contributing to the development of port activity and the strengthening of Ecuadorian foreign trade.
As part of its expansion plan, DP World has extended the pier to 700 meters and expects to reach 800 meters in length and an operational capacity of 1.4 million TEUs by the end of 2026. These investments aim to support the growth of foreign trade and strengthen Ecuador's logistical and port infrastructure.
