AUV 535: Inocar Deploys Submarine Vehicle for El Niño Monitoring

Inocar began operational tests of the AUV 535 autonomous underwater vehicle on Santa Cruz Island, which will replace the AUV 614 in monitoring ocean conditions. After the tests, it will be installed in the Hermandad Marine Reserve. The equipment will continuously collect information on oceanographic variations to strengthen the monitoring of the El Niño phenomenon in Ecuadorian waters.
