The Port of Huelva welcomed for the first time the cruise ship Hebridean Sky from the British shipping company Noble Caledonia, which specializes in cultural and expedition cruises with exclusive stops.
The 90-meter-long vessel docked at the South Levante Dock with 96 predominantly British passengers and a crew of 77 people. The consignee company is Pérez y Cía. It arrived from the Port of Lisbon (Portugal) and will depart for the Port of Tanger Med (Morocco).
The President of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, met with the captain to exchange a commemorative plaque in gratitude for its first call at the Port of Huelva.
The ship's passengers will undertake various excursions to visit some of the tourist attractions in Huelva and the province. On this occasion, tourists will have the opportunity to visit La Rábida and the Columbian Sites, Doñana National Park, William Martin's tomb in the city, a panoramic tour of Huelva, in addition to freely visiting the capital of Huelva.
Furthermore, the cruise ship Le Champlain, a luxury exploration yacht from the French shipping company Ponant, will call at the Port of Huelva for the second time this year. The consignee company for this vessel has been Noatum Maritime.
The 131-meter-long vessel arrives in Huelva with 128 predominantly American passengers. The crew consists of 120 people. Le Champlain arrives in Huelva from the Port of Lisbon and, after its stop in Huelva, will depart for Gibraltar.
During September, the ship La Belle de Cadix from the French shipping company Croisi Europe, which began its season of calls at the Port of Huelva in May, has also made stops at the Huelva port again. This vessel combines river-maritime itineraries and makes calls at several Andalusian ports.
The arrival of cruise ships at the Port of Huelva is organized by the Huelva Cruise Network, a working group dedicated to planning the reception of vessels. It is comprised of the Huelva Chamber of Commerce, the Huelva Business Federation (FOE), the Destino Huelva Agency, the Huelva City Council, the Junta de Andalucía, tourism companies, and the Huelva Port Authority.
