Ferrol, October 16, 2026
The Port Authority of Ferrol-San Cibrao has given its approval for the construction of a new 15 kV power supply line at the Mugardos Energy Terminal, owned by the Reganosa group. The port authority's board of directors has approved the non-substantial modification of the concession, which enables the execution of the works that have already completed the process with the Industry authorities.
The plant is developing a project to implement a new line to supply it with energy. This will provide it with an additional electrical supply, allowing it to increase the robustness of its supply system and maintain its operation in different scenarios. The body chaired by José Antonio Álvarez Vidal thus authorizes the execution of the works affecting the Port Authority's service area. In this case, these include the construction of 65 meters of underground channeling for electrical supply and modifications to the regasification plant's substation.
Other matters
Among other matters, at the board of directors meeting, the new maritime captain, César Pita, also took office as a member, replacing his predecessor Ángel del Real, and Patricio Erhardt was reappointed as a representative of business organizations.
Likewise, the appointment of the new members of the Navigation and Port Council of the general interest ports of Ferrol and San Cibrao was approved, which will be chaired by the director of the Port Authority, José Ignacio Villar.
