2026-09-30. PortCastelló yesterday received the 2026 Award for Communication Trajectory granted by the Association for the Development of Communication, adComunica, in recognition of the work carried out by the Port Authority of Castellón through its various communication strategies, aligned with the institution's corporate objectives.
During the gala, held at Bellver Blue Tech Zone (Oropesa del Mar) and with the collaboration of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Diputación de Castellón, the Oropesa del Mar City Council, and Fundación Azul Marino, in addition to Bellver Blue Tech Zone itself, the Association for the Development of Communication highlighted the transformative power of good communication to an audience of one hundred professionals.
In his speech, the president of adComunica, Adrián Beltrán, celebrated the first two decades "of an association that was born to be useful to communicators, to defend ourselves, to assert ourselves, to demonstrate to brands, companies, and people the transformative power of communication. adComunica's members are the best guarantee for good communication. We are storytellers prepared to bring out the best version of each brand." Beltrán also looked to the future: "We continue to advance with great enthusiasm to serve this society and this land through the power of communication. To inspire, to generate trust, to excite, and to transform."
Presented by Lorena Berzosa and Sandra Sandalinas, the event featured musical accompaniment by singer Bárbara Breva – an adComunica member – accompanied by guitarist Fabián Barraza. Videos on the values of the awards were also screened, by members Estela Bernad, Álex Rubio, Ángel Báez, Rocío Blay, and Francisco Fernández Beltrán.
During the event, PortCastelló's communication director, Elena Rincón, accepted the Communication Trajectory award granted to the Port Authority of Castellón, along with her colleagues Silvia Peris and Tamara Vallés. The 2026 Best Business Project award was given ex aequo to Masía Creativa and Hilo Conductor. On behalf of the first company, Laia Chiva received the award from the delegate of the Consell, Susana Fabregat. For her part, Héctor Folgado, vice president of the Diputación, presented the distinction to Rosa García Llobat, promoter of the second initiative.
Meanwhile, Valero Fraile, director of the Primer Toque Tournament, received the Rafael López Lita Award for New Communication Initiatives from the mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco. For his part, journalist Daniel Vicente, editor of El Mundo – Castellón al Día, received the Paco Pascual Journalism Award from Beatriz Pascual, daughter of the journalist who gives his name to this distinction.
Finally, the recognition for the article with the greatest impact among those published in the scientific journal 'adComunica' was presented by Susana Miquel, vice-rector of Communication at Universitat Jaume I, to Professor Nerea Benitez-Aranda, author of the winning work along with Alejandro Carbonell-Alcocer and Manuel Gertrudix, all from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
It should also be noted that, during the event, biologist and scientific communicator Jaime Penadés spoke about the work of Fundación Azul Marino, an entity dedicated to the conservation of marine species and environmental education in the province of Castellón, which, in collaboration with Fundación Oceanogràfic, manages the Marine Species Conservation Center in Bellver Blue Tech Zone, where it cares for and monitors specimens of threatened marine fauna before their return to the sea.
