The Port of Valencia is scheduled to undergo civil works that will affect our rail services. These works are expected to start on 25th September and continue until 07th November, unless there are any delays or changes to the planned schedule.
To mitigate the potential impact of these works and maintain our customers rail flows, we have developed an alternative operating plan using an external terminal as a hub for some of our train services.
As the bottleneck for our trains will be within the Port of Valencia, we are planning to use the following external terminal:
The proposed solution involves using a truck shunting service to transport containers from the Port of Valencia to Silla & vice versa, where the trains will be loaded/unloaded.
The additional cost of this shunting service would be €140 per container. The other alternative as usual is a direct truck.
