The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rubén Ibáñez, as the head of Fundación PortCastelló, and Juan José Montoro, president of the Spanish Association of Ceramic Technicians (ATC), signed a collaboration agreement this week that strengthens the strategic alliance with the ceramic industry, which is one of the strategic sectors with the most weight for the economy of Castellón.
With this adhesion, Fundación PortCastelló, a non-profit organization of general interest, with its own legal personality and assets, aimed at the commercial development of the Port of Castellón, now has a total of 44 collaborating entities and companies.
Among the objectives of the Foundation is to channel outreach actions related to the promotion of the port in Castellón, as well as the entire Port Community, with the intention of making the port, its infrastructure, investment possibilities, and new PortCastelló services known to society.
Purpose and commitments of the agreement
This agreement, valid for four years, will allow the development of initiatives that contribute to enhancing the knowledge and use of the Port of Castellón among companies and professionals in the ceramic industry, as well as promoting ATC's activity, projection, and connection with the port community.
Planned actions include collaboration in workshops, professional meetings, training, port visits, and dissemination and information activities.
Close collaboration with ATC and the ceramic sector
The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rubén Ibáñez, highlighted the close link between PortCastelló and the ceramic world and, in this regard, stated that "strengthening the port-ceramic binomial and strengthening relationships is strengthening our productive fabric, and from the Port Authority we will continue working to ensure that the Port of Castellón remains a strategic ally of the province's ceramic industry."
To this end, Ibáñez pointed out that "it is essential to continue strengthening collaboration with the sector and related entities such as ATC, because knowing their needs and working together allows us to continue improving the possibilities that the port offers to a strategic industry for Castellón." "This collaboration will allow us to generate new spaces for meeting, knowledge, and cooperation between the port community and ceramic professionals, and to bring the port even closer to companies in the sector," he asserted.
For his part, the president of ATC, Juan José Montoro, stressed that this adhesion "reinforces the active collaboration that the entities that are part of the ceramic cluster of the province of Castellón are committed to and exemplifies that the possibilities of establishing synergies know no boundaries."
"Whenever it is in favor of ceramics, an economic engine for Castellón and the Valencian Community, institutions and associations must join forces in all possible areas, as stated in this agreement," declared Montoro, who recalled that ATC and PortCastelló have been collaborating in the development of professional conferences for years.
