Carnival CEO reports June recovery as US-Iran MOU boosts cruise bookings
Carnival Corp. CEO Josh Weinstein reported improved bookings in June following the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, which restored consumer confidence in travel planning. After March's "cardiac arrest" in bookings due to geopolitical conflict and May's year-over-year decline amid war news and high fuel prices, the company expects record yields in the second half of 2026. For 2027, Carnival reports historic highs in pricing and occupancy, with nearly doubled bookings for Europe cruises.
