Sanctioned Russian Shadow Fleet Oil Tanker Attacked by Ukraine

The sanctioned Russian shadow fleet oil tanker Fina A was attacked by Ukrainian forces on 17 June in the Black Sea during an overnight operation. The vessel, flagged to Equatorial Guinea and built in 2004, has been used to export Russian oil and circumvent the G7 price cap. It has been sanctioned by the EU, Canada, Switzerland, the UK, and Ukraine. Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the incident while damage assessment continues.
