Roadblocks Force Bolivian Banana Producers to Discard Exports
Banana producers in Cochabamba, Bolivia, were forced to discard 12 trucks of fruit destined for Argentina and Chile due to roadblocks caused by social protests against the government of President Rodrigo Paz. According to Agustín Conde, president of the producers, the fruit lost its commercial value by not arriving at export points on time.
