The National Port Authority of Peru (APN), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), conducted a technical visit to the site where the Regional Government of Lambayeque plans to develop the region's future port terminal.
The visit was part of the technical support that the APN provides to local authorities with the purpose of contributing to the development of the efforts related to this port infrastructure project.
During the visit, the characteristics of the proposed area for the future infrastructure were verified, which is considered a strategic initiative to strengthen maritime connectivity, logistical competitiveness, and the economic development of Lambayeque and the northern macro-region.
Representatives from the Regional Port Authority of Lambayeque and the Chamber of Commerce and Production also participated in the instance, agreeing on the importance of maintaining coordination among the institutions involved to promote the development of this infrastructure.
Subsequently, the APN delegation participated in a working meeting led by the regional vice-governor of Lambayeque. In this space, the organization's technical team provided specialized assistance on the main technical, regulatory, and planning aspects required for the development of a port infrastructure of this magnitude, contributing to the strengthening of the actions being promoted by the Regional Government.
