Conrad Industries announced its financial results for the second quarter and the six months ended June 30, 2026, as well as its order book, highlighting a net income of USD 3.3 million and diluted earnings per share of USD 0.65 for the April-June period (compared to USD 5.8 million and USD 1.16, respectively, for the second quarter of 2025).
For the first half of the year, the company achieved a net income of USD 6.5 million (USD 9.7 million) and diluted earnings per share of USD 1.29 (USD 1.93).
During the first six months of 2026, Conrad's order book increased by USD 196.4 million (USD 104 million), reaching USD 292.8 million from USD 213.9 million.
Since the end of the second quarter, and not reflected in the order book as of June 30, 2026, the company has signed additional contracts worth USD 37.4 million, which include the award of a contract from the United States Army Corps of Engineers to design, build, test, and deliver a new deck barge for the Vicksburg District.
Conrad Industries, founded in 1948 and headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, designs, builds, and refits barges, dredges and dredging support equipment, tugboats, ferries, dry docks, lift boats, offshore supply vessels, and other steel products for commercial and governmental markets. The company offers ship repair and construction services at its five shipyards located in southern Louisiana and Texas.
Cecil A. Hernandez, President and CEO of Conrad, stated that "while our financial results for the first half of 2026 reflect the impact of lower production volume compared to the prior year, we are encouraged by the continuous improvement in project execution, order book growth, and the strength of our balance sheet. The growth in our order book reflects consistent demand in the governmental, infrastructure, and commercial markets."
"Looking ahead, our priorities remain the same: safely and efficiently execute our current order book, expand profitable opportunities across all our markets, and generate long-term value for our shareholders, customers, and employees. With five strategically located shipyards on the Gulf Coast, a growing pipeline of government projects, and a strong reputation for quality and safety, we believe Conrad is well-positioned for continued progress," Hernandez concluded.
