Heavy Load Surcharge (HWS) Implementation North Europe & Mediterranean Area to Central America (incl. Mexico) and West Coast South America (B1S)
Maersk is implementing a Heavy Load Surcharge (HWS) for 20' and 40' dry containers with Verified Gross Mass exceeding 20 metric tons for 20' and 25 metric tons for 40' on routes from North Europe & Mediterranean Area to Central America (incl. Mexico) and West Coast South America. The surcharge of 250 USD per container becomes effective on 12 June 2026 and applies to all Ocean products excluding SPOT and Maersk Go.
