Peruvian exports to the United States reached nearly US$ 6 billion in the first six months of the year, representing a 20% growth compared to the same period in 2025, reported the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Rogers Valencia Espinoza.
"The United States is a very important strategic partner for Peruvian exports and also for imports," he said in statements to the Andina agency.
The minister noted that Peruvian exports to the U.S. market exceeded US$ 10 billion in 2025, while bilateral trade, considering round-trip operations, surpassed US$ 20 billion.
He also highlighted the importance of the United States for Peruvian foreign trade, pointing out that it is the third destination for Peru's general imports and the second most important market for Peruvian agricultural exports after the European Union.
Valencia Espinoza emphasized that Peru has a diversified exportable offer to the U.S. market, with a presence from the mining, agricultural, textile, metallurgical, and fishing sectors.
In the agricultural sector, he mentioned blueberries, avocados, and grapes as the products with the highest export volumes.
"This is without forgetting that we also export traditional products to the United States, such as coffee and cocoa," Minister Valencia finally added.
