Produce approves Emergency Plan for fishing and aquaculture in response to El Niño 2026-2027

The Ministry of Production approved the Emergency Plan for the Fishing and Aquaculture Subsectors to address the effects of the El Niño Phenomenon 2026-2027. The strategy includes 8 lines of action, 19 measures, and 46 activities based on technical information from the Instituto del Mar del Perú (Imarpe). Minister Juan Carlos Requejo emphasized that the plan seeks to strengthen research, monitoring, and sustainable use of opportunity resources.
