Shipwreck in the South China Sea: 17 Missing and 45 Rescued

Rescue teams are searching for 17 missing people after the shipwreck of the Vietnamese-flagged vessel Khoi Nguyen 18 in the South China Sea. According to Chinese state television CCTV, 45 people have been rescued alive since Saturday night, July 25. The ship was carrying 62 Vietnamese citizens and declared an emergency in waters near Fiery Cross Reef. Currently, two rescue vessels and a helicopter are participating in the search for the missing.
