ZIM Integrated Shipping Services announced the update of its Colibrí Express (ZCX) service with the official incorporation of a new call at Pisco, Peru. Operations will be carried out at the General San Martín Port Terminal, concessioned by Puerto de Paracas.
Thus, the ZCX rotation will be Callao (DP World) – Pisco – Paita (Euroandinos Port Terminals) – Guayaquil (Ecuador) – Cartagena (Colombia) – Miami (United States) – Philadelphia (USA) – New York (USA) – Halifax (Canada).
The organization highlighted that the service will maintain its originally scheduled arrival days at the destination ports, thus ensuring the regularity and transit times already established for the market.
This logistical option is strategically designed to streamline the transport of goods from the main ports of the South American Pacific directly to the most important consumption centers on the East Coast of the United States and Canada.
One of the greatest competitive advantages of this service lies in its reduced transit times, especially attractive for the perishable cargo sector.
Taking the Port of Pisco as the origin point, importers and exporters will be able to reach the port facility of Miami in just 10 days, Philadelphia in 13 days, New York in 15 days, and completing the itinerary to Halifax in a total of 18 days.
