Peruvian strawberry exports registered a year-on-year growth of 35% during the January-July period of the current year. In total, shipments reached USD 22.4 million.
According to the Association of Exporters of Peru (Adex), the figures show sustained evolution, as international shipments of this fruit grew by 33.4% during 2025, sending 54,200 tons abroad, reaching USD 60 million.
In this regard, the Vice President of Adex, Rafael del Campo Quintana, stated that "between January and July of this year, fruit shipments totaled USD 3.742 billion, a figure 15.7% higher than that obtained in the similar period of 2025. However, avocado, grape, and blueberry jointly concentrated 68% of these shipments. In this context, strawberries have much to contribute to the diversification process."
Regarding the destination of shipments, Del Campo explained that "globally, the market for this fruit mobilizes around USD 6.3 billion annually, with the USA, Germany, and Canada being the main buyers, and Spain, Egypt, and Mexico the largest suppliers. These figures demonstrate the existing potential and the possibilities of expanding the presence of strawberries abroad," added the Vice President of Adex.
