The Supervisory Agency for Investment in Public Transport Infrastructure (Ositran) of Peru reduced the tariffs applicable to regulated services at the New Container Terminal in the Port Terminal of Callao – South Zone, managed by DP World Callao, after approving the applicable productivity factor of -4.44%.
The reduction will be in effect until August 17, 2030, and will apply to tariffs per meter of length-hour, as well as to costs per loaded or empty 20-foot or 40-foot container.
The agency stipulated that "the productivity factor (…) will be applied annually, in accordance with the Concession Agreement and Ositran's General Tariff Regulations, using the RPI – (-4.44%) rule, where RPI represents inflation expressed in a general consumer price index of the United States of America."
Likewise, Ositran's resolution defined "to establish that DP World Callao S.R.L. may freely determine the tariff structure within each of the baskets of regulated services indicated in the preceding article, without exceeding the limit indicated therein, in accordance with the criteria and rules established in the Concession Agreement and Ositran's General Tariff Regulations."
According to the document, the readjusted tariffs for regulated services will come into effect within a period that, at most, can be up to three months.
