Pialze Oriente S.A.C. obtained temporary technical viability from Peru's National Port Authority to develop the Pialze Oriente Port Terminal (TPPO) in Loreto. The initiative seeks to turn Iquitos into a connection point between the Brazilian Amazon and Peruvian Pacific ports.
The project plans to handle grain, soy, animal protein, and agro-industrial inputs, leveraging the Amazonian river system. A pilot operation this year moved 2,000 tons of soy cake from Roraima, Brazil, to Peru via the Manaus-Iquitos axis.
The terminal is projected to cover 50 hectares and includes port, logistics, and naval infrastructure. Its location would allow for future river connections with Ecuador via the Napo River, a navigable waterway that connects the Ecuadorian Amazon with the Peruvian river system and subsequently with the Amazon River.
