Port of Galveston: Terminal 16 Achieves LEED Silver Certification
Galveston Port's Cruise Terminal 16 obtained LEED Silver certification for meeting environmentally sustainable design and operational standards. Opened in 2025, the 15,300 square meter terminal reused approximately 85% of existing structural elements. Director Rodger Rees highlighted that this is the port's second cruise terminal with LEED certification, following Terminal 10 which holds LEED Gold. The project was developed by Bermello Ajamil & Partners and Hensel Phelps.
