Daito Corporation Builds Second Electric Tugboat for K Line
Daito Corporation, a subsidiary of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), will construct a 260-gross-ton electric tugboat, following the 199-ton unit currently under construction. The vessel will feature a 4,400 HP engine and be equipped with a new DC power distribution system. It will be built by Hongawara Ship Yard in collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries and TOA Corporation, with completion expected in July 2028.
