First ethanol bunkering in Rotterdam port successful
The container ship Eco Levant, operated by X-Press Feeders, was bunkered with ethanol in Rotterdam port last weekend in one of the first operations worldwide and the first in Rotterdam. The vessel operates on a blend of 90% ISCC EU-certified biomethanol and 10% ISCC EU-certified second-generation ethanol, supplied by Tankmatch's bunker barge MTS Experience. The milestone demonstrates Rotterdam's readiness for alternative fuels and supports its ambition to become the leading bunker port for sustainable fuels.
