Great White Fleet Corporation (GWF) will expand its refrigerated shipping capacity with the addition of its fourteenth vessel and 2,000 new refrigerated containers. The expansion seeks to meet the growing demand for perishable and frozen products during the last quarter of 2026.

The company will incorporate the vessel Chiquita Enterprise and will operate new maritime and rail corridors. Among them is a direct shipping service that will connect Guayaquil with major ports in the United States and Europe, expanding logistics options for Ecuadorian refrigerated cargo.

The new containers will use atmosphere control technology to preserve products such as avocados, berries, and citrus fruits during long-distance journeys. GWF also contemplates energy efficiency measures, the use of marine biofuels, and shore power to reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
