U.S. Coast Guard Awards Contract to Commercial Supply Vessel for Extended Patrols

The U.S. Coast Guard awarded a contract to Louisiana-based Bordelon Marine for the Connor Bordelon, a commercial offshore support vessel operating as Homeland Security Cutter-Ocean (HSC-Ocean). The vessel will transport supplies, equipment, and personnel to Coast Guard cutters throughout the Caribbean, Gulf of America, and Western Hemisphere. The program aims to reduce port calls and extend patrol duration while supporting maritime security, drug interdiction, migrant interdiction, fisheries enforcement, and search and rescue operations.
