Pacific International Lines announced that Kota Elan, its new 13,000 TEU dual-fuel container vessel, made its maiden call at the Port of Singapore.
To commemorate this special occasion, an onboard ceremony was held where representatives from PSA Singapore presented a commemorative plaque to Kota Elan's Captain, Thanabalan Govindaraju, marking its inaugural call at one of the world's busiest and most connected ports.
Currently, Kota Elan operates the East Coast Service 1 (ES1) route connecting Asia with South America. It is now en route to Brazil, before calling at Uruguay and Argentina, and finally returning to the East.
"As one of the latest additions to our growing fleet of greener vessels, Kota Elan reflects PIL's commitment to building a more sustainable future for shipping through cleaner and more efficient operations. We remain future-focused on reducing emissions, driving innovation, and working alongside trusted partners to advance a more sustainable maritime industry," PIL stated.
