Activist Shareholder Calls for Sale of Seacor Marine's Offshore Fleet
Activist shareholder Pointillist Family Office, which owns more than seven percent of Seacor Marine stock, is demanding the board begin a strategic review to sell the company or its fleet. The managing member, Jorey Chernett, argues the fleet could be worth more than $1 billion and that the net asset value should exceed $20 per share, while stock currently trades around $6.63. Seacor has downsized from 81 vessels in 2021 to 44 at the end of 2025, reporting increased losses and 59 percent fleet utilization in the first quarter of 2026.
