Port Tampa Bay Begins Work on New Cruise Terminal
Ground preparation work has begun for Port Tampa Bay's new cruise terminal, the first to be built at the port in over 25 years. Kimmins Contracting Corporation is leading the site preparation at the former Metroport location, with completion expected by the end of 2026. HDR and BEA Architects will design the terminal, which will be operational in 2029 and will allow for over 200 additional annual calls, reaching 2 million passengers per year with an estimated economic impact of USD 100 million.
