North Carolina Ports Mobilize 4.4 Million Tons in 2026
North Carolina Ports (NC Ports), Wilmington and Morehead City, mobilized 4.4 million short tons of cargo in fiscal year 2026, in line with the budget. Silvi Cement is building a bulk import terminal in Morehead City with a $70 million investment. Refrigerated cargo trade in Wilmington grew with imports of Peruvian blueberries and Chilean grapes.
