Arctic cruise operators secure NOK 400K funding for emissions reduction project
The Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators received 400,000 Norwegian kroner ($42,722) from the Svalbard Environmental Protection Fund to extend its Climate Change Project through February 2028. The funding brings total investment to NOK 1m ($106,800) and will strengthen emissions reporting, assess Arctic port readiness for energy transition, and develop guidance for further emissions reductions across the expedition cruise sector.
