Suez Canal Authority Receives New Integrated Oil Supply and Services Vessel
Ossama Rabiee, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), announced the arrival of the Fakhr 1, an integrated oil supply and services vessel built at the Ningde Tai Jinzhou Yuajin shipyard in China. Measuring 64.8 meters in length, 16 meters in beam, and 5 meters in draft, the vessel features a DP2 dynamic positioning system and is equipped for geophysical surveys and marine geotechnical investigations. It will be deployed in Abu Rudeis, in the Red Sea, under contract with Petrobel, a subsidiary of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), with work scheduled to begin in July.
