Damen Shipyards Group launches its Fuel Flexible (FF) Tugs Range, designed to operate on diesel today while being adaptable to alternative fuels like HVO biofuel, methanol, or battery systems in the future. The ASD Tug 2713 FF (397 gross tonnes, 90 tonnes bollard pull) and ASD Tug 3313 FF (497 gross tonnes, 100 tonnes bollard pull) are engineered with future-proof methanol-prepared class notation and ready for Damen's Ultra Low Emission Vessel (ULEV) system. The tugs maintain cost-parity with conventional models while offering flexibility to adapt to evolving fuel regulations.
