Alaska Gears Up for Record Cruise Season in 2026
Alaska expects a record cruise season in 2026 with major homeports forecasting significant growth. Vancouver anticipates approximately 1.4 million passengers with nearly 360 cruise ship calls, while Seattle forecasts 2.1 million passengers—its largest season in more than two decades. Juneau has implemented a voluntary cap of five cruise ships per day with limits of 16,000 passengers daily and 12,000 on Saturdays to manage overtourism concerns.
