SeaDream III is to enter service in July 2029, becoming SeaDream Yacht Club's first newbuild vessel after 25 years of operations.
The 151-metre ship will be built by China Merchants Cruise Shipbuilding, in coordination with European engineering and technical suppliers.
It will accommodate approximately 200 passengers with a crew of nearly equal size.
Set to expand SeaDream's geographical reach, reservations for the yacht's first voyages opened yesterday.
"SeaDream III represents the next chapter for SeaDream," said Atle Brynestad, founder and owner of SeaDream Yacht Club. "She will carry forward the same DNA as SeaDream I and SeaDream II: personalised service, exceptional cuisine, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the genuine feeling of being on your own yacht. With SeaDream III, the whole world becomes our destination."
Passenger accommodations will span five decks, featuring an expanded selection of suites, Commodore staterooms and connecting configurations. Private balconies will be available across four guest decks, with larger suites and staterooms providing additional space for extended journeys.
The yacht's design emphasises open-air living through expansive upper decks, a dedicated pool deck and multiple indoor and al fresco dining spaces. Three dedicated watersports marinas will provide direct sea access, building upon signature experiences offered aboard the existing fleet.
SeaDream III will feature expanded spa, fitness and wellness facilities, reflecting the line's focus on healthy lifestyle offerings at sea.
"SeaDream has never been about size for its own sake," Brynestad added. "Our focus is creating fantastic days and unforgettable experiences for every guest. SeaDream III gives us the opportunity to bring that experience to more places around the world."
The vessel's maiden voyage runs from July 10 to August 6, 2029, spanning 27 nights from Hong Kong to Tokyo. The itinerary includes 19 ports across Japan and Korea, featuring an overnight stay at Ishigaki and access to Yakushima's UNESCO-listed cedar forests. The voyage incorporates a three-night naming celebration in Tokyo.
The inaugural season continues with voyages exploring Japan and South Korea. Four 14-night round-trip voyages from Tokyo will combine northern and western Japan with South Korea, followed by a 15-night voyage from Tokyo to Hong Kong through Japan's southern islands.
Itinerary highlights include Hakodate, Aomori, Akita, Kanazawa, Hiroshima, Kobe and Osaka, Mount Fuji views from Shimizu and Tagonoura, Japan's Inland Sea, Busan and Jeju in South Korea, and the islands of Yakushima, Amami Oshima and Ishigaki.
Following the Japan season, SeaDream III will continue to Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, featuring Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Komodo, the Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania, culminating in a New Year's celebration in Sydney.
"SeaDream III has been designed not only to travel farther, but to bring guests closer to the places she visits," stated Brynestad. "Her size will allow her to reach distinctive harbours and sail globally while maintaining the highly personalised experience our guests expect. This deployment reflects the spirit of SeaDream: unhurried exploration, exceptional service and access to places best experienced by yacht."
SeaDream III will operate in the Southern Hemisphere during the northern winter, with an 18-night Auckland to Sydney voyage scheduled for December 2029 to January 2030. The itinerary includes South Island, Stewart Island and Tasmania, and concludes with New Year's Eve celebrations in Sydney Harbour.
During the first 24 months of operation, SeaDream III will visit six continents, 73 countries and 364 ports. In 2030, the yacht will sail west from Asia to India, the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean before arriving in London, then explore the British Isles, the Baltic, coastal Norway, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland.
Arctic itineraries include a 10-night voyage from Longyearbyen to Reykjavík in July 2030, featuring Greenland's Scoresby Sund and Iceland's fjords. Great Lakes operations commence with a 10-night Montreal to Milwaukee voyage in August 2030, navigating through eight locks and five inland seas via the St. Lawrence Seaway and Welland Canal.
The vessel will subsequently sail the North Atlantic to Canada, continuing through the St. Lawrence into the Great Lakes with voyages including Montreal, Chicago, Toronto and Detroit, featuring calls throughout Georgian Bay, Lake Superior, the Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County and the St. Lawrence.
Operations will continue along the American East Coast before arriving in West Palm Beach, followed by Caribbean, Central America, Colombia's Caribbean coast and Panama voyages.
Throughout the inaugural years, SeaDream III will be presented in global yacht showcases including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Auckland, Sydney, Mumbai, London, Oslo, Boston and West Palm Beach.
SeaDream III will operate a 181-night world cruise from January 5 to July 5, 2031, departing West Palm Beach and concluding in London. The circumnavigation covers more than 40 countries across three oceans, transiting both the Panama and Suez Canals. Highlights include Easter Island, Pitcairn Island and access to Machu Picchu via Callao, Peru.
The yacht will journey through the South Pacific, visiting Easter Island, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu before continuing to Australia, Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The World Voyage will continue to Sri Lanka, the Maldives, India and the Arabian Peninsula before visiting Egypt and Jordan and transiting the Suez Canal.
The final segments will unfold throughout the Mediterranean and along Europe's Atlantic coast, concluding in London on July 5, 2031.
