PortosRio has taken another step in modernizing its internal processes with the start of the implementation of a new integrated enterprise management system, known as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). The tool will allow information and activities from different areas of the company to be gathered on a single platform, facilitating team work and making management more efficient.

The project was presented on October 14, during a meeting held by the Superintendence of Information Technology (SUPTIN) and the Solutions Structuring and Construction Management (GERCOS), with representatives from Central IT, the company contracted to provide and implement the CITSmart X² ERP solution.

What changes with the new system?

Currently, PortosRio uses three independent systems for essential activities: SSA (Starsoft), responsible for financial, accounting, budgetary, and patrimonial routines; Benner HR, used for personnel administration and payroll; and AJUS, focused on managing legal processes.

With the new ERP, these functions will be integrated into a single digital platform, accessible via the internet and hosted in the cloud. The system will have 12 modules that also cover activities such as purchasing, inventory, project management, and indicator analysis.

In practice, the integration will reduce repetitive tasks, facilitate information sharing between areas, and streamline internal procedures. The platform will also feature artificial intelligence and automation resources, as well as tools for preparing reports and monitoring results.

For PortosRio's CEO, Flavio Vieira, the initiative represents an investment in improving working conditions and strengthening the company's management.

"We are investing in technology to simplify processes, integrate our areas, and offer better work tools to employees. The implementation of the new ERP is an important step to make PortosRio more modern, efficient, and prepared for the challenges of the port sector. It is a transformation that also depends on the participation and involvement of our teams," he highlights.

Implementation will be gradual and will involve employees

The implementation will be carried out in stages, with the 12 modules expected to be completed by September 2027. The process will include platform configuration, migration of information from current systems, functional testing, and training for employees who will use the new tools.

As part of the initial stages of the project, Central IT has already delivered the Executive Plan and made the cloud environment with the new system installed available, beginning preparations for the next phases of implementation.

The transition will be monitored by technical teams and the areas involved, to ensure data security and continuity of activities during the system replacement.

The contract with Central IT, with a total value of BRL 19 million, is valid for 30 months and includes, in addition to implementation, hosting services, technical support, and platform maintenance.

According to the Superintendent of Information Technology, Aldo Carvalho Ribeiro, the project requires planning and collaboration between areas. "The implementation of the ERP represents a strategic milestone in PortosRio's digital transformation. More than modernizing technology, we want to integrate processes, improve management, and strengthen corporate governance. Our commitment is to lead this change with technical responsibility, dialogue, and a focus on results," he states.

The Manager of Solutions Structuring and Construction, Junior Quintiliano, emphasizes that the initiative is the result of work started in 2023, which involved market studies, planning, and contracting the solution.

"We are not just replacing three systems with another. We are creating conditions to automate activities, develop solutions according to the company's needs, and gather information that is currently dispersed. This will facilitate both the work routine and decision-making," he explains.

Meeting marked the start of the project

The October 14 meeting brought together, from PortosRio, Superintendent Aldo Carvalho Ribeiro, Manager Junior Quintiliano, and port specialist Gilberto Restum. From Central IT, the Director of Customer Success, Eduardo Máximo; the Director of Technology and co-founder, Emauri Gaspar; and the Product Operations Manager, Ademário Santana Cordeiro, participated.
