Bluecore Energy Secures $50M Funding for Floating Nuclear Reactor System
Bluecore Energy announced a $50 million funding round led by Silverton Partners to advance its floating nuclear power plant technology for maritime applications. The Long Beach-based startup is developing a water-cooled, small modular reactor on a barge powered by low-enriched uranium fuel, intended to provide electricity to the Port of Long Beach and coastal communities. The company is coordinating with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Coast Guard for deployment requirements.
