APM Terminals Japan signs agreement to decarbonise operations In Yokohama
APM Terminals Japan has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with FPS Inc. to supply renewable electricity to its Port of Yokohama operations, commencing on 1 April 2026. The agreement will deliver approximately 2.6 ktCO2e per year in Scope 2 GHG emissions reductions by sourcing power from newly developed solar facilities with 5.5 MW installed capacity across the Tokyo region. This supports Maersk's commitment to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2030 and net-zero emissions across its value chain by 2040.
