Maersk suspends Durban Cato Ridge drop-off fee until further notice

Maersk announced the temporary suspension of the Durban Cato Ridge Drop-Off Fee (DRP) effective from 11 September 2026 until further notice. The suspension applies to 20ft containers (previously ZAR 4200) and 40ft dry containers (previously ZAR 4500), both now charged at zero rate. The measure responds to ongoing congestion and supply chain disruptions in Durban, which have increased depot utilization and reduced storage capacity across the network.
