The company integrates maritime, port, and logistics services under a single operation, offering its clients end-to-end management with greater traceability and control over cargo.
Cosmos Global Logistics aims to consolidate its position as a benchmark in the Peruvian market for foreign trade and logistics operations. Its strategy is based on a combination of scale, proprietary infrastructure, technology, and experience, with an offering capable of accompanying the client throughout their entire logistics chain.
With the backing of Andino (Andino Investment Holding), a group with over 50 years of experience in logistics and foreign trade, the company now has a more robust operation and a wide range of services to compete in a sector where scale and integration are increasingly relevant.
Cosmos Global Logistics integrates its maritime and port operations with logistics services, including customs brokerage, temporary warehousing, storage, transportation, and distribution of general cargo and containers, all under a single management.
This is a one-stop shop model that offers an end-to-end service, through which clients can access the solutions their logistics chain requires through a single operator. "The proposal covers everything from the arrival of the cargo at the port to its delivery at the client's warehouses, integrating port services, storage, customs, transportation, and distribution," details Marcelo Bustamante, General Manager of Cosmos Global Logistics.
This ability to integrate services is one of the company's main differentiators. "Very few companies have all the business units of logistics, sea, and land, in one place," highlights the executive.
In this way, Cosmos Global Logistics seeks to solve one of the main challenges of logistics: the fragmentation of responsibilities. Working with different providers forces clients to coordinate multiple processes with different actors. With Cosmos, on the other hand, management is centralized, and a single party is responsible for the chain, which allows for greater visibility over the cargo and better coordination throughout the entire process.
In addition, Cosmos Global Logistics has the capabilities and infrastructure to develop a good part of the services that make up its offering.
This model allows for the generation of operational and cost efficiencies. To measure them, the company works with indicators related to cargo reception and dispatch times, transport flows, customer service, and customs operations, among others.
Technology is another central component of the proposal. Cosmos Global Logistics has a platform that centralizes processes and allows for greater visibility across the entire logistics chain. "Clients will have better traceability of their cargo, because by working with a single company, they will achieve visibility from the moment it arrives at the port until it reaches their warehouse," says Bustamante.
In a business that processes a high volume of transactions and coordinations, digitalization is key both for managing cargo and for measuring performance.
Looking ahead to its next growth stage, Cosmos Global Logistics plans to double its capabilities over the next year, which will involve expanding infrastructure, transportation, and technological support. With this, the company seeks to strengthen its position in the Peruvian market.
