Port of Savona Completes Shore Power Installation for Cruise Ships
The construction of a new shore power facility at the Port of Savona Cruise Terminal has been completed. This infrastructure will allow docked vessels to receive power from the terrestrial electricity grid, significantly reducing emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur, and particulate matter. The project is part of a broader strategy by the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority for port energy transition.
