Import and Transit Containers Drive Traffic Growth at the Port of Barcelona

Cargo traffic at the Port of Barcelona exceeded 30 million tons accumulated since January, a 4.4% increase compared to 2025. Global container traffic grew by 4.3% to 1,611,488 TEUs, driven by full import and transit containers with increases of 5.7% and 8% respectively. Biofuels and chemical products led the growth of bulk liquids with increases of 56% and 52%.
