Peru's Port System Grows 4.1% in Cargo Handling Between January and March
Public-use terminals in Peru's port system mobilized 17.6 million metric tons between January and March 2026, registering a 4.1% growth compared to the same period last year, according to the National Port Authority (APN). The largest increase was recorded in rolling cargo with 62.9%, followed by break-bulk cargo (10.9%), bulk minerals (9.3%), and containerized cargo (4.1%). This performance is attributed to infrastructure improvements and the strengthening of the operational capacity of port terminals.
