(12:45 a.m. EDT) -- Carnival Magic became the second ship in Carnival Cruise Line's fleet to showcase the new "From Sea to Shining Sea" bow crest, after returning to service today following a dry dock stint.
The Dream-class ship follows in the footsteps of Carnival Legend, which last week debuted new bow crest concept inspired by "America the Beautiful," and is set to be rolled out on most of the cruise line's U.S. ships.
During the 35-day dry dock period in The Bahamas, Carnival Magic was also outfitted with several upgraded amenities and refreshed venues.
For instance, the ship's casino has been updated and the arcade now offers more entertainment options for all ages. Elsewhere, the Lido restaurant features an improved layout, and the retail areas across the gift shops and the Effy Jewelry boutique have been refreshed.
The WaterWorks aqua park and pool decks also sport a revitalized look, while a new mini golf course has been added. The Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center has been renovated with all new equipment.
Carnival Magic resumes operations from Miami, embarking on a series of six- to eight-day roundtrip voyaghes to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
