(3:00 pm EDT) -- Carnival Cruise Line is getting its first-ever president's cruise next year.
The reveal was shared by president Christine Duffy during a live edition of The Wave aboard Carnival Sunrise, follwing the inauguration of the newly-expanded Relax Away, Half Moon Cay.
The select voyage is scheduled to take place aboard the recently refurbished Carnival Magic, and will consist of a six-day roundtrip departing from Miami on Feb. 28, with calls in Celebration Key, Amber Cove and Grand Turk.
"I'm really excited because Carnival Magic just came out of a 35-day dry dock," Duffy said. "I visited the ship before coming on Sunrise and was just blown away by how great and how new everything is. The team really did a phenomenal job."
The executive also revealed that she will be joined aboard the sailing by Brand Ambassador, John Heald.
The cruise "will feature personal time on stage with Christine and I," added Heald. "We'll host some special shows, we'll do lots of surprises and maybe even bring some other special guests as well. You never know who might join me."
The Carnival president also offered an update on the cruise line's upcoming Project Ace, the new class of ships that's set to bring the largest vessels in Carnival's history.
According to Duffy, the first ship of the three-vessel order -- scheduled for delivery in 2029 -- will celebrate its steel cutting ceremony at Fincantieri's shipyard on July 10th.
"At the steel cutting, we'll reveal the exterior, what the ship will look like," said Duffy. "And then in the fall, we're planning another event and we'll go much deeper into Ace."
The cruise line executive also shared that the date of the steel cutting ceremony is also significant for Carnival "This is happening 30 years after we had delivered Carnival Destiny in the same yard with Fincantieri," Duffy added.
The second and third Project Ace ships are scheduled to arrive in 2031 and 2033, respectively.
