Carnival Cruise Line has announced plans for its first President's Cruise, scheduled to sail in 2027.
The announcement was made by CCL's President Christine Duffy during a live edition of The Wave held on Carnival Sunrise following the inauguration of the expanded RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas.
The special voyage will take place on Carnival Magic, which recently completed an extensive drydock refurbishment. The 6-day roundtrip departs Miami on February 28th and visits Celebration Key, Amber Cove and Grand Turk.
CCL's Brand Ambassador, John Heald, is also expected to join the sailing. He advised that guests could expect dedicated appearances by both himself and Duffy, along with special presentations, entertainment and a range of surprise elements that may include additional guest participants.
In addition to details of the President's Cruise, Duffy provided an update on CCL's Project Ace newbuilds, which will introduce the company's largest vessels ever.
She confirmed that the first vessel in the 3-ship series, scheduled for delivery in 2029, will reach a major construction milestone with its steel-cutting ceremony at Fincantieri's Monfalcone shipyard on July 10th. According to Duffy, the event will include the unveiling of the vessel's exterior design, while a separate presentation planned for later in the year will provide further details regarding the project.
Duffy also highlighted the historical significance of the date, noting that the ceremony will take place 30 years after Carnival Destiny was delivered from the Monfalcone yard.
The second and third Project Ace ships are currently scheduled for delivery in 2031 and 2033, respectively.
