Century Vision debuts on Yangtze River as Century Cruises expands globally

Century Cruises is preparing to introduce its newest river cruise vessel, Century Vision, on its signature 4-day Yangtze River itineraries between Chongqing and Yichang, with operations scheduled to begin in late September.

The itinerary passes through the Three Gorges, one of China's best-known inland waterways, taking guests past dramatic cliffs, traditional villages and historic temples along the Yangtze River.

With a gross tonnage of 15,000 and a length of almost 150 metres, Century Vision features seven passenger decks and accommodates up to 650 guests in 236 cabins, the majority of which include private balconies. The vessel also introduces family suites designed with dedicated children's sleeping areas, allowing families to remain together in a single stateroom rather than booking separate cabins.

The ship offers a range of public spaces designed to maximise comfort and river views, including spacious lounges, observation areas and open gathering spaces. Dining is provided across three restaurants serving international cuisine prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

Among the vessel's new features is a Digital Museum Zone, where passengers can explore China's history, culture and heritage through interactive displays. Other onboard facilities include a library with panoramic windows, a dedicated photography studio for reviewing and editing images, a theatre hosting lectures, cooking demonstrations, traditional cultural performances, tai chi sessions and introductory Mandarin language classes, as well as a fitness centre and spa. A 360-degree panoramic sun deck provides uninterrupted views throughout the voyage.

Century Cruises stated that Century Vision represents a significant addition to its luxury river fleet and supports the company's broader international growth strategy. The company indicated that the vessel reflects both the future direction of its Yangtze operations and its ambition to strengthen its position in the global luxury river cruise market as it prepares to expand into Europe in 2026 and Egypt in 2027.
